BANGALORE: Many schools in the city affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination have achieved cent per cent pass results in the Indian School Certificate Examination (class 10) and the Indian Certificate of Secondary Examination (class 12). The results were announced on Wednesday. Eager students gathered at the schools to know their results as only the respective schools could download them. The joy of students knew no bounds as the results started trickling in. "I am thrilled," said Neha Jagadish of Auden Public School. "I really worked hard and started my studies early. I am happy that I could top the school," she added. Principal Shanthala Ravishankar said as it was the first batch passing out of the school, they took the help of other schools while preparing students for the final examination. "Before the results we were tense, but now we are relaxed," she added. The Florence Public School, St. John's School, Little Flower Public School, Bishop Cotton Girls' School, Baldwin Girls' School and the Presidency School have also achieved cent per cent pass results. All students of the Acharya Patashala Public School have passed in first class. Dinakar Wilson, Principal of the Baldwin Boys' School said that this year, teachers and students decided to achieve cent per cent results as the school celebrated its 125 years. However, one student did not pass the examination. "We had identified weak students and had arranged for special classes for them. This boy was not in that list," Mr. Wilson said. Students of the Baldwin Girls' School gave a farewell to their outgoing principal, Vasantha Edwards, by achieving cent per cent results. "I could end my career on a happy note," Ms. Vasantha said. Gayathri Devi, principal of the Little Flower Public School, attributed the success to hardworking teachers and students, while Princess Franklyn, principal of the Bishop Cotton Girls' School, acknowledged the role of parents. "They were very cooperative and it has shown in our results," she said. Abida, principal of the Florence Public School, said the results were on the expected lines and the teachers were confident that their students would not let them down. "We have been achieving cent per cent pass results for the past six years, and all credit should go to our teachers and students," she added. Pushpa Prasad, principal of the APS Public School, said students were not nervous of facing the examination as they had prepared them well by conducting special classes. "This is the fifth year in succession we have achieved cent per cent results, and all students have passed in first class," she added.
