Girl commits suicide

BANGALORE: Fearing that she may not score goods marks in her I year B.Com examination, an 18-year-old girl committed suicide by jumping into the Sankey Tank on Thursday.

The police gave her name as Shruti, daughter of Arun Raikar, and a student of Seshadripuram College. Shruti had written her Economics examination on Thursday.

The body was removed from the tank on Friday and handed over to her parents.
