CHENNAI : The results of the Higher Secondary (Plus Two) examination held in March 2006 will be released on Monday at 9.30 a.m. This year's results assume additional significance, as this is the first batch that studied the new and arguably more difficult syllabus. Nearly 5.75 lakh students, including private candidates, appeared for the examination, which was conducted between March 2 and 24. Students can contact their respective schools for results, said a press release from the Directorate of Government Examinations.

Results through sms
Various mobile phone service providers will make results available through sms service. Aircel customers can type REG{lt}space{gt} "register number" and sms to 5454 or type TNHSC{lt}space{gt} "register number" and sms to 4545. On confirmation, students will receive subject-wise marks along with the result. Results will also be available on Reliance World. Students can choose TamilNadu 12th in the `Get Results' option under `Hot N New{gt}Exam Results'. The six-digit roll number will fetch their scores. Customers can also call 1234 and say `exam'. They can also send the message `TN12{lt}Roll number{gt}' to 1234 or 3926. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) will also make results available through SMS service. Customers can message "HSC followed by registration number" to 3333.
Helpline
Sneha will make its 24-hour helpline (Phone number: 28352345) available from May 22 to June 5. Students can also visit them in person from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m on all days. Help can also be sought through e-mail (help@snehaindia.org).
