Bid to loot cash from ATM centre

BANGALORE: An attempt was made to loot cash from an ATM centre in Madiwala Police Station limits in the early hours of Sunday.

According to the police, the incident occurred at a Citibank ATM situated on Hosur Road near Singasandra. When the machine was broken, the security personnel raised an alarm and the thief fled.

Robbed

Three persons waylaid a pedestrian and robbed him of a mobile phone and cash on Museum Road in Cubbon Park Police Station limits on Saturday.

The police said Pyarejan, an engineer, was walking towards his residence on Infantry Road when the incident occurred.

Arrested

The Jnana Bharati police have arrested two persons on extortion charge. The police gave the names of the accused as Nasir Khan and Joseph. They have recovered four mobile phones .
