NEDUMBASSERY: Air-India has hiked the fuel surcharge for its services to various sectors. This will, in effect, result in a marginal increase in fares as the surcharge is collected along with ticket fares. Surcharge in Kerala-Gulf sector services has been doubled to $30 from the previous $15. The renewed surcharge on services from Mumbai to the United States of America is $125, a hike of $25. To the European destinations, it will be $65 up from the earlier $55. The renewed surcharge to Asian destinations of Bangkok, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur will be $45.
