Fee structure is the forte of this college

No capitation fee in any form is demanded by the management

Chennai: So what if a college is located in a rural area, when it provides excellent science, computer and commerce courses at a fee structure lesser than stipulated by the Government.

An add-on benefit is the campus recruitment drives conducted by multinational banks and other leading companies.

"Also, M/s Leading Consultants Inc., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the USA, has adopted our college and conducted many campus interviews for selecting best Information Technology students of the college for training and job opportunities abroad," says founder-chairman of Sri Nagalakshmi Ammal College of Sciences, C. Kothandaraman.

Sri Nagalakshmi Ammal College of Sciences, situated on a sprawling 62-acre campus, is the institution that can boast of with these points.

It is located at Pappunayakkanpatty, 40 kilometres from Madurai and about 18 km from Tirumangalam.

There are a good number of buses to Madurai, Virudhunagar, Thirumangalam and T. Kallupatti.

The college also has its own buses, besides running separate hostels for girls and boys.

Mr. Kothandaraman, who is a technocrat having worked in reputed organisations in the United States, says, "the college offers six career-oriented undergraduate courses such as bio-chemistry and information technology and post-graduate courses such as M.S. Information Technology and M.Com with e-commerce."

Dr. M. Renganathan, Principal, asserts that no capitation fee in any form is demanded by the college and the fees for self-finance courses was the lowest in the region.

Authorities also make job recommendations for students with excellent academic performance.

Enterpreneurial skills

The college has forged links with various chambers of commerce for promoting enterpreneurial skills among students.
