Back BEA tech platform for SBI Life

With BEA Systems' WebLogic portal and `Graph Talk' — a core insurance package, SBI Life Insurance Company has been able to print out and issue policies at the branch level in real time, BEA Systems spokesperson, Mr Dhruv Singhal, said. Substantiating the life insurance company's choice for BEA's technology platform, Mr Singhal said SBI Life was earlier doing batch integration between WebLogic and Graph Talk. `Now, we have enabled the portal. This is also being used as a campaign portal and the insurance company is able to target customers in a much better way.' The portal could be accessed by a large number of users, especially when they start leveraging their relationship with the bank (SBI), he said and added that SBI Life was in the process of rolling out more functionalities in the WebLogic portal.
