Stock broking company staff abducted

BANGALORE: Three men allegedly kidnapped an officer with a stock broking company and relieved him of his car and mobile phone after assaulting him in Malleswaram Police Station limits on Saturday.

In his complaint to the police, Ullas Bhat, working as a marketing manager with Motilal Voswal Securities at Malleswaram, alleged that the kidnap was the handiwork of a company for which he was working earlier. He gave the names of the accused as Kishore, Rafique and Arif.

He said he had left that company along with 12 others as it was running under loss.

Ullas Bhat said the three asked him to show the house of Venkatesh at Arakere after kidnapping him. Later, they took him to a secluded area, assaulted him and took away the car valued at Rs. 6.5 lakhs and a mobile phone, he told the police.

Malleswaram Police have registered a case. A search is on for the accused.

Phone snatched

A man snatched a mobile phone from the hands of a college student in JC Nagar Police Station limits on Saturday, according to the police.

The student, Vishwavijay, said the incident occurred when he was walking in front of Fun World on Jayamahal Main Road. JC Nagar Police have registered a case.

Investigation is on.

Man stabbed

An enraged man allegedly stabbed his brother-in-law as the latter intervened in the quarrel between him and his wife in the Madiwala Police Station limits on Saturday.

The police have arrested the accused Girish in this connection.

According to the police, Girish (35) had a quarrel with his wife and reportedly assaulted her.

When her brother, Prakash Reddy, tried to stop the fight, Girish allegedly stabbed Prakash Reddy in the stomach and chest.

The incident occurred at Lakshmi Layout in Garvebavipalya off Hosur Road.

Prakash Reddy is in hospital. Madiwala Police have registered a case.
