This apart, the ASP model brings the cost benefit that varies from organisation to organisation. The Founder and CEO of the Hyderabad-based SatNav Technologies, Mr Amit Prasad, in a statement said, "Normally a customer has to spend on the implementation cost at one go for a-Mantra. This includes the purchase of software and hardware, and after the warranty period, the client needs to either retain our services or needs to build competency in- house at additional cost." "This model is better for companies who want more control on their data and prefer to keep in-house control on applications. We introduced the ASP model based on requests from companies that want to avoid maintaining systems supply by various vendors, on their own," he explained.
