Back EIH net profit up at Rs 188 cr, proposes 1:2 bonus

Aided by extraordinary income of more than Rs 100 crore from the sale of land, EIH Ltd, a member of the Oberoi Group has reported a net profit of Rs 188.80 crore for the financial year 2005-06 up from Rs 33.12 crore recorded during the previous year.

The Board that met here on Wednesday to announce the audited results for financial year 2005-06, has proposed a bonus issue of one equity share of Rs 2 for every two equity share held.

The operating profit was up 59 per cent at Rs 292.33 crore during the financial year 2005-06 up from Rs 183.77 crore reported during the previous year.
