Moitra cremated

Mumbai: The body of Vivek Moitra, long-time secretary to the slain BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, was cremated at the Turbhe crematorium in Navi Mumbai on Sunday.

Mumbai BJP chief Prakash Mehta was among the party leaders who attended the funeral.

Moitra was declared dead on arrival at the Apollo Hospital in Delhi in the early hours of Friday after a party at Mahajan's residence that was attended by Mahajan's son Rahul and four others.

The post-mortem examination of Moitra's body revealed traces of poison, hospital sources said. — PTI
