Firm raided; water bottles seized

Bangalore: The Bureau of Indian Standards, Bangalore branch, with the assistance of Madiwala police on Tuesday raided a firm at Hongasandra on Begur Road and seized packaged drinking water. According to a press release here on Thursday, it was found that the firm was filling water in bottles and selling it under different names. A large number of these bottles with spurious ISI mark were seized from the premises. The enterprise was allegedly selling these bottles with ISI mark without a valid licence from the Bureau of Indian Standards.
