Back Fine, Fine, Fine!

You walk into the office: some people are looking glum; some looking pretty chirpy; some downright depressed, especially on Monday; and some can't stop grinning from ear to ear seeing the year-on-year returns. Well, that's a barometer of how people feel in your office, and you probably do that any place where you can see people.

Easy to do it at home, but what about your city, or your country, or even the whole world? How are people feeling right now?

Enter: We Feel Fine (http://www.wefeelfine.org) by Jonathan Harris and Sepandar Kamvar, which acts as a barometer of how people feel around the world.

The project defines itself as "an exploration of human emotion, in six movements" and each of these movements is actually an interesting way of exploring how people feel and how they express their emotions. Some of these movements have several sub-movements that let you explore feelings by gender, age, geography, as well as the weather.

Check out the image bubbles as well as the gallery for some beautiful pictures, some of which have very apt text or commentary. You can save these images and also send to your friends.

Do visit the movements and methodology pages to get a more complete idea of the concept and how the Web site works.

Anyone feeling that bosses should be equipped with a barometer like this one?
