Back Sattur Chamber plea

Sattur Chamber of Commerce and Industries has urged the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, to consider and drop the announced service tax on the service of money orders, and express letters of postal service, effective from June 1. In an appeal addressed to the Prime Minister, the chamber General Secretary, Mr P.T.K.A. Balasubramanian, has said the announcement of 12.24 per cent service tax on money orders and express letters of postal service will hit the postal service and an awarded punishment for the public.
