Back TCS focusing on faculty development

To bridge the corporate-campus gap, TCS conducts faculty development programmes across the country. "Continuous interaction with educational institutions is our key focus to tap the best scientific and engineering talent and engage in cutting-edge research and development, in partnership with universities," Mr S. Padmanabhan, Executive Vice-President (Global Human Resources), Tata Consultancy Services, said.

He disclosed that various research initiatives were being undertaken by TCS in partnership with institutes, not only in India but across the globe.

`Such relationships with universities is basically for globalising our workforce,' Mr Padmanabhan said.

With over 62,000 associates from 53 nationalities, the company has emerged as a truly global firm with diverse employee base.
