Vamsi bats well

VISAKHAPATNAM: East Godavari, after pulling itself up through a responsible knock by G. Vamsi Manohar (95, 5x4) in the face of fine off-spin bowling by Simhachalam, found itself in a comfortable position at close on the opening day of the ACA North Zone under-19 inter-district tournament here on Tuesday.

The scores: East Godavari 234 in 69.4 overs (G. Vamsi Manohar 95, Simhachalam eight for 80) vs Srikakulam 33 for three in 20.1 overs.
