Back ING Vysya staff donation to UNICEF

ING Vysya employees have contributed Rs 35 lakh to the United Nations Children's Fund, which will enable 2,500 child workers in the Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri districts of Tamil Nadu to resume primary education.

The funds, raised under an internal initiative called `Back to School', supports ING's global community development initiative - ING Chances for Children (ING CfC).

Under the ING CfC programme, the company aims to work with UNICEF to help educate 50,000 children in three countries, which include India.

The cheque carrying the donation was handed over recently to Mr Thomas George, UNICEF, India, by Mr Vaughn Richtor, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, ING Vysya Bank, and Mr Frank Koster, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, ING Vysya Life.
