Back Ansal to invest Rs 2,000 cr in residential townships

Real estate company Ansal Housing and Construction Ltd on Monday said it plans to invest Rs 2,000 crore to construct residential townships branded as Ansal Town, across seven cities.

"In the coming quarter, Ansal Housing will be expanding by launching residential townships branded as Ansal Town across seven cities starting with Agra, Indore and Jammu. The other cities include Rewari, Karnal, Meerut and Ghaziabad.

The company will be marketing a range of built up houses, independent plots and apartments for the premium end of the market," a company release said here.

The company is coming up with Ansal Town in Agra, a mini-township of 130 acres in July.

This would be followed by the launch of Ansal Town in Indore in August. Ansal Town in Indore is a 60-acre project with approximately 1,200 dwelling units valued at Rs 250 crore, the release said.

Ansal Town in Jammu will be a 125-acre residential township, valued at Rs 200 crore and will be launched by September.

According to Mr Kushagr Ansal, President, AHCL, "Ansal Housing aims to develop residential townships in Tier II cities.

The company would be launching seven such townships with an investment of Rs 2,000 crore covering an area of 1,400 acres."
