CHENNAI: The directors of Wheels India at a meeting held on Tuesday, have announced a second interim dividend of 35 per cent. The first interim was 30 per cent. Net sales for the year ended March 31, 2006, have risen to Rs. 843.36 crore from Rs. 778.97 crore. After providing depreciation of Rs. 23.16 crore (Rs. 20.85 crore) and taxation of Rs. 11.30 crore (Rs. 14.14 crore), the profit after tax has declined slightly to Rs. 26.37 crore from Rs. 28.65 crore. The transfer to general reserve is Rs. 18 crore (Rs. 20 crore).
