IFC signs carbon credit purchase pact

NEW DELHI: The IFC-Netherlands Carbon Facility, a joint initiative of the International Finance Corporation and the Dutch Government, signed an emissions reduction purchase agreement worth $6 million here on Thursday. The IFC will use Dutch government funds to purchase greenhouse gas emission credits from wind farms in Rajasthan and Karnataka.
