Inflation rate surges to 5.44 p.c.

NEW DELHI: Higher prices of pulses, fruits, vegetables and some fuels have further driven up the inflation rate by 0.20 per cent to over a year high at 5.44 per cent for the week ended June 17, as against 5.24 per cent in the previous week.
