Back Purohit is new FKCCI chief

Mr R. C. Purohit has been named the President of the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) for the year 2006-07. Mr Purohit, Managing Director of Bhoruka Power Ltd, succeeds Mr. S. Babu, whose term ended this year. At its annual general meeting held here on Friday, the FKCCI elected Mr S.S. Patil and Mr D. Muralidhar as the new Vice-Presidents. Mr Patil, Chairman and Director of Patil Group of Industries, is from Gulbarga. He is the first office-bearer of the FKCCI from the Hyderabad-Karnataka region.
