Staff Reporter

MALAPPURAM: The Hindu-Educationplus will organise a pre-counselling guidance session for professional course aspirants who have taken the entrance test in Kerala, at Manjeri on Saturday, July 8. The programme, to be held in association with Canara Bank, will take place at Woodbine Auditorium, Court Road, Manjeri. A panel of experts will give presentations on the different academic streams available. The idea is to help students make the best choices with regard to the range of options before them in terms of courses, branches and institutions.

With the State Government having decided to go in for online counselling this year, the session will seek to provide guidance with regard to the procedures involved. The National Informatics Centre is involved in the online counselling process.

Participants will receive a comprehensive handbook on professional courses.

The Manjeri session is a follow-up on three major sessions conducted recently on similar lines in Kozhikode, Kochi and Thiruvanathapuram.

Students wishing to take part should register in advance by paying Rs.50. The number of seats is limited; registrations will be done on a first-come first-served basis. Registrations can be done in person during office hours at The Hindu's local office at Kiliyamannil Plaza, Manjeri Road, Uphill, Malappuram (Phone: 0483- 2736661), or the nearest branch office at Shaz Building, Kannur Road, Kozhikode (Phone: 0495- 2762201).
