TIRUMALA: The annual Ani Vara Asthanam will be observed on 17 July at the famous hill temple of Lord Venkateswara, Tirumala. In connection with the festival, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams management has cancelled all `arjitha sevas' including Suprabhatam, Thomala, Archana and other daytime rituals. However, devotees can participate in the `Pushpa pallaki' festival that will be celebrated the same evening on payment of Rs.1,000. Further, in connection with the festival, the periodical `Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam' festival will be conducted in the temple on July 11. Except for the pre-dawn rituals, a majority of the daytime rituals will be cancelled.
