Our Bureau
Thiruvananthapuram, July 7
Entire officers and workmen staff of the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) are on the warpath demanding settlement of wage revision. The settlement is due from November 2002, Mr Jose T. Abraham and Mr K.P. Padmakumar, Union leaders, said here. This, when wage revision has long been implemented in all other major institutions in the financial sector, including commercial banks, the RBI and the Life Insurance Corporation of India. The agitating staff had resorted to protest demonstrations in front of Nabard offices across the country in the month of June. The employee unions have decided to distance themselves from the Nabard foundation day celebrations on July 12, the leaders said.
