NEW DELHI: Nine passengers standing on the footboard of Shamli-Delhi passenger train sustained injuries after they were hit by a Municipal Corporation of Delhi jeep parked close to the railway tracks near the Shahdara railway station in North-East Delhi on Friday. One of the injured is stated to be serious. The accident took place around 9-15 a.m. The injured were admitted to Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital, from where two were later discharged. The rest have been kept under observation. An inquiry into the incident has been initiated.
