Polythene use: MCH collects 15 lakhs as fine

HYDERABAD: The Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad has collected more than Rs.12 lakhs as fine from various individuals and Rs. 3.35 lakhs from 408 shops for using polythene covers during the last three-and-a-half months.

Commissioner Sanjay Jaju once again appealed to businessmen to avoid usage of polythene bags of less than 20 microns as it would not be environment friendly.
