Our Bureau
Hyderabad, July 11
The State Government has said that the incidence of chikungunya is on the decline. Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Dr I.V. Subba Rao, the Principal Secretary (Health), claimed that not many new cases were reported. Chikungunya, the viral fever that pins down patients with severe joint pains, afflicted several districts in the State. He said the department would prepare an action plan to combat water and vector-borne diseases, which spread very fast in the rainy season. The Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajsekhara Reddy, will hold a review meeting on Wednesday.
