Back Nestle's Uttaranchal unit kicks off

Nestlé India has said that it has commissioned on schedule the initial phase of its seventh factory in Uttaranchal and despatched its first batch of MAGGI 2-Minute Noodles.

"Similar to the other plants of Nestlé India, the emphasis has been on high quality, safety and efficient use of energy. It will leverage Nestlé S.A.'s technological and R&D expertise to produce products that deliver value to consumers," Mr Martial Rolland, Chairman and Managing Director, Nestle India, said, according to a company release. He further said, "We had set ourselves very ambitious timelines. Completion of the initial phase in less than seven months is a new benchmark and reflects the capability, professionalism and dedication of our team.''
