Children's park opened

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Education Minister M.A. Baby on Friday inaugurated a children's park set up with financial assistance from the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) on the premises of the State Central Library. LIC chairman T.S. Vijayan inaugurated a special stage and podium set up in a corner of the park for children to give public speeches. — Staff Reporter

Ganja seized

Thiruvananthapuram: Officers of the Customs Preventive Unit, Thiruvananthapuram, seized eight kilograms of dry ganja valued at approximately Rs.1 lakh from a platform of Thiruvananthapuram Central railway station on Friday . The goods were found abandoned on the platform soon after he Kanyakumari-bound Jayanti Janata Express left the station. — Staff Reporter
