Minister for Health P.K. Sreemathy was quite at home during a reception accorded to her by the district committee of the All India Democratic Women's Association (AIDWA) in Kozhikode on Sunday. She spoke about her priorities for the welfare of women and children. Ms. Sreemathy urged the people to consider her not as a Minister but as one among them. She had served as the organisation's State secretary and was its member.The Minister also spoke about improving the facilities in labour wards. Another area of concern was the restructuring of the functioning of the Women's Commission, the body taking handling the issues of women. Various units of the AIDWA in the district presented mementos to Ms. Sreemathy.
