Sanitary supervisor suspended

HYDERABAD: Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad Commissioner Sanjay Jaju is continuing his daily inspections different areas for upkeep of sanitation and also initiating action against his staff for showing any slackness in their work.

On Tuesday, Mr. Jaju suspended sanitary supervisor of Yellareddyguda, Irmaiah, and also terminated a contract with one Sekhar Reddy. The executive engineer in charge of the area will get a memo for not maintaining roads in a good condition, a press release said.

Directive to officials

The Commissioner asked his engineering staff to coordinate with the Water Board and ensure that water stagnation points in Srinagar colony were taken care of. Hawkers on the main roads should keep a dustbin instead of littering the roads, he said.
