Back Board of Trade nominee

The Union Ministry of Commerce has nominated Mr A.C. Jose, Chairman of the Coir Board, as a member of the Board of Trade. The board was re-constituted on July 17.

The Board of Trade was set up by the Government in July 2004 when the Foreign Trade Policy was unveiled for 2004-09. The body, which has a permanent Secretariat, advises the Government on various policy initiatives in foreign trade. It currently has 30 non-official and 10 official members.
