BANGALORE: Burglars struck at nine adjoining business establishments on Abbigere Main Road in Gangammanagudi police station limits on Wednesday night and made away with cash and other goods. The police said the shops burgled included a provision store, a gift articles shop, a textile showroom and a hardware shop. On a complaint by Narayanalal, a businessman, the Gangammanagudi police have registered a case.
Chains snatched
Motorcyclists snatched gold chains from two women in Rajajinagar area on Wednesday and Thursday. The police said that around 5.45 a.m. on Thursday, two men riding a motorcycle, snatched a gold chain estimated at Rs. 50,000 from Gangamma (60), a resident of Prakashnagar, while she was on her way to a milk booth on Dr. Rajkumar Road. The Rajajinagar police have registered a case. In the second case, B.N. Lakshmi (50), a resident of 6th Main, 2nd Cross, Mahalakshmipuram, was robbed of her gold chain estimated at Rs. 30,000, by two men who were riding a motorcycle. The incident took place around 7.45 p.m. on Wednesday while Lakshmi was walking in 1st Block, Rajajinagar, the police said. The Mahalakshmi Layout police have registered a case.
Mobile phones stolen
A youth had stolen two mobile phones, estimated at Rs. 45,000, from a café in Malleswaram police station limits on Wednesday evening. The police said Sumith Arora, a resident of HMT Layout in Vidyaranyapura, and his friend had come to the café on 18th Cross, Malleswaram. They had kept their mobile phones on the table and were having coffee when the youth made away with phones. On a complaint by Arora, the Malleswaram police have registered a case.
