Back Indegene Lifesystems ties up with Johns Hopkins

New Delhi , July 21

Even as medical associations try for legislation to make continuing medical education (CME) mandatory in the country, medical and scientific services marketing company Indegene Lifesystems has tied up with Johns Hopkins University for organising CME seminars in India and South-East Asia.

Under the three-year agreement, Indegene will organise seminars and meetings in India and other countries on the latest development in medical research and clinical practice addressed by faculty from the US university.

"Through this alliance, we will be able to bring international perspective to the CME programmes that we have been running for the medical community in the country," said Dr Sanjay Parikh, Director, Indegene.

Some of the programmes will be targeted at general practitioners while others will be targeted at experts in various fields, he added.

The seminars will largely be in the areas of cardiology, nephrology, neurology, oncology, critical care, AIDS and hepatitis.

Indegene provides services such as scientific promotions, medical education and business analytics solutions for pharmaceutical and healthcare organisations.

Apart from India, the company has offices in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Australia, where it will make the CME programmes available.
