Medical camp

A free medical camp for the treatment of cikungunya in Central Research Institute of Unani Medicine has been running since July 12. The patients can visit the camp between 9.30 a.m. and 1.00 p.m, according to Deputy Director Incharge, Central Research Institute of Unani Medicine, Mohd. Ali Mirza. SCR staff union plea

The South Central Railway Employees' Sangh has urged the Centre to appoint a representative of Railway Ministry on the proposed Sixth Central Pay Commission to look into working conditions of the staff.

M. Raghavaiah, general secretary, while making the request in a press release on Friday, thanked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Union Cabinet for approving the commission.

Matrimonial convention

The Kukatpally Nagara Brahmana Samakhya is conducting its seventh State-wide Brahmin matrimonial convention on August 20 at the Vasavi Kanyaka Parameswari Ammavari Kalyana Mandapam in Phase III of KPHB colony.

Arts exhibition

The Australian High Commission is organising `Kiripuranji: Contemporary Art from the Tiwi Islands', an art exhibition from Saturday at Indian Art Gallery, Madhapur, in the city.

The exhibition is part of two-year cultural promotion in India, said Australian High Commission Counsellor, John Fisher, in a statement.

Brain Bee Quiz

International Brain Bee in association with Nizam's Institute of Medical Council (NIMS) will organise 2nd Regional International Brain Bee Quiz in the city on August 14.
