Back Record discharge of bauxite ore at Vizag

Visakhapatnam , July 24

A record quantity of 10,113 tonnes of bauxite ore was unloaded on July 22 from the vessel, M V Ispat Star, at EQ - 7 berth at Visakhapatnam port, surpassing the previous best of 7,769 tonnes on July 20 from M V D.D Seaman.

The cargo was imported by Vedanta Alumina Ltd at Kalahandi in Orissa. St. John Freight Systems Ltd is the stevedores and Sree Binni Shipping the steamer agents for the vessel.
