Special trains to Chennai, Ernakulam and Nagercoil

BANGALORE: The South Western Railway will run special trains to Ernakulam, Nagercoil and Chennai.

According to a press release, Bangalore-Chennai (0684) will be run on Fridays from July 28. It will leave Bangalore at 9.30 p.m. and reach Chennai at 3.55 a.m. The last service of this train will be on September 29. In the reverse direction, the train (0683) will start at 9.30 p.m. on Saturdays from July 29. It will reach Bangalore at 5.55 a.m. the next day. The last service of this train will be on September 30. It will run via Bangarpet, Jolarpettai, Katpadi and Perambur.

Bangalore City-Ernakulam (0637) will leave the city at 5.15 p.m. and reach Ernakulam at 4.30 a.m. It will run on Fridays from July 28. The last service of the train will be on September 29. In the return direction, the train (0638) will leave Ernakulam at 5 p.m. and reach the city at 4.20 a.m. It will run on Saturdays from July 29. The last service of the train will be on September 30. It will run via Bangarpet, Salem, Palghat and Thrissur.

Madurai-Nagergoil

Bangalore City-Madurai-Nagercoil (0647) special train will be operated on Sundays from July 30. It will leave the city at 5.45 p.m. and reach Madurai at 6.30 a.m. It will leave Madurai at 6.35 a.m. and reach Nagercoil at 10.45 a.m. The last service of the train will be on September 24. The Nagercoil-Madurai-Bangalore (0648) will run only on Mondays from July 31. The train will leave Nagercoil at 3.30 p.m. and reach Madurai at 8.20 p.m. It will leave Madurai at 8.30 p.m. and reach the city at 9 a.m. The last service of this train will be on September 25. It will run via Hosur, Salem, Dindigul, Madurai and Kovilpatti.
