New emigration seal on passports

BANGALORE: The immigration authorities, henceforth, will affix "emigration check required" seal only on passports of individuals who are not eligible for emigration clearance.

According to a pressnote from Regional Passport Officer P. Kumaran, the practice of affixing the seal "emigration check not required" has been stopped.
