BANGALORE: Home Minister M.P. Prakash is of the view that the Centre will not misuse the Governor's report on the mining controversy to destabilise the State Government. "The Governor has done his constitutional duty of sending reports on issues related to the State," he said, talking to presspersons here on Friday on the sidelines of a function at which rewards were given to members of the Special Task Force. To a question whether the report by Governor T.N. Chaturvedi would be misused by the Centre, Mr. Prakash said, "I do not think an able administrator like Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will resort to such tactics." On the Belgaum issue, Mr. Prakash said the State Government would take an all-party delegation to meet the Prime Minister. The all-party delegation is in reaction to Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh taking a delegation from Maharashtra to meet Dr. Singh and Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil on the border dispute. On whether the Congress would use this issue to embarrass the State Government, Mr. Prakash said, "Parties do use such issues..." He said the Government would shortly decide on setting up the State Human Rights Commission.
