Bal Bharati in last four

NEW DELHI: Rishabh played a key role winning both his singles and doubels matches as Bal Bharati School, Pusa Road, defeated Arwachin School, Vivek Vihar, 2-1 in the quarterfinals of the boys under-16 section in the second ASN Delhi State inter-school badminton tournament at the Ludlow Castle School No.2, Shamnath Marg, on Sunday.

DAV School, Shreshta Vihar, Ahlcon School, Mayur Vihar and Apeejay School, Pitampura, joined Bal Bharati in the semifinals.

The results (quarterfinals):

Under-16: DAV, Shreshta Vihar, bt Sachdeva School, Pitampura, 2-0 (Bharat Bajaj bt Monsoom 21-16, 21-4; Atul bt Naveen 21-13, 21-16).

Ahlcon School bt Mount Carmel School, Anand NIketan 2-0 (Chirag bt Sahil 21-10, 21-10; Gautam bt Rahul 21-11, 21-19).

Apeejay School, Pitampura, bt ASN Schol, Mayur Vihar, 2-1 (Divyansh bt Akhil 21-16, 21-10; Anshul lost to Jayank 16-21, 11-21; Divyansh and Sahil bt Akhil and Jayank 21-18, 21-9).
