`Hello CM' on TV

Doordarshan Kendra, Bangalore, will hold a "Hello CM" programme for youngsters on August 6. Those with grievances can write to the kendra with details of name, age, address, phone number and detailed query. The telephone numbers for query are Ph: 23542599, 23542699, a press release said.

Transfer of phones

All Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited FWT (Fixed WLL Telephone) and WLL mobile phones working in Bangalore city urban will be transferred to a new exchange between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. on August 1. There may be interruptions in services on this account. FWT/handheld WLL telephone sets are to be reset, for which customers could contact their nearest Divisional Engineer (External)/Customer Service Centre or call Ph: 1500. After change over to the new technology, customers can utilise the other facilities such as SMS and FAX.

Shows suspended

The sky-theatre shows at the Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium in Bangalore will be suspended for the public only on August 1, a release from the Bangalore Association for Science Education said.

New branch

Syndicate Bank on Saturday opened a branch at Electronics City to tap the business potential in the area where several information technology companies are located. The new branch was inaugurated by Sudhir Krishna, Metropolitan Commissioner, Bangalore Metropolitan Regional Development Authority, according to a statement from the bank.
