NEW CHAPTER: Clinton Bristow, president of Alcorn State University, USA, exchanging the MoU with P. Vijay Prakash, AU Registrar, in Visakhapatnam on Monday.
VISAKHAPATNAM: A Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Clinton Bristow, president of Alcorn State University, USA, and P. Vijay Prakash, Registrar of Andhra University, in the presence of Andhra University Vice-Chancellor L. Venugopal Reddy and executive council of members of the university here on Monday. The collaboration between the two universities will facilitate student exchange programmes and initiate research activities in various fields. Students can pursue MS programmes in biological sciences like biotechnology, computer science and applied mathematics and MBA.
Collaborative efforts
The MoU also supports appropriate collaborative efforts between faculty members of the two universities in developing research, training programmes or student training activities of mutual interest.
Global opportunities
The agreement will provide students global opportunities to pursue their academic goal of continuing graduate education in the USA. Dr. Clinton said that the MoU would go a long way in further collaborations with AU. Professors -- R. Venkata Rao, J.V. Prabhakar Rao and A. Raviprasad - participated in the programme.
