Back Up in unit value K.K. Mustafah
DIPPING EXPORTS: Fenugreek kept for sale at a shop in Thrissur, Kerala. Fenugreek - valued for its medicinal properties and a major ingredient in curry powder and pastes - plays a major role in promoting Indian cuisine internationally. Its unit value of export has almost doubled during the first quarter of the current fiscal to Rs 32.97 a kg from Rs 17.80 in the corresponding period a year ago. This has, however, brought down the exports from 4,494 tonnes to 1,750 tonnes.
