KARIMNAGAR: The road connectivity between Karimnagar and Adilabad districts at Rayapatnam bridge in Dharmapuri mandal has been snapped following the overflowing of the Godavari on the bridge since Saturday last. Ever since, the floodwaters had been released from the upstream projects of SRSP, Kadem and other rivulets into the Godavari river, the Rayapatnam bridge was submerged disrupting traffic on the busy road. On Thursday, the floodwaters were flowing at 10 feet height on the bridge. Vehicles were stranded as they waited for the floodwaters to recede while some other vehicles were seen making a `U' turn and proceeding to via Godavarikhani areato Mancherial. People thronged the Rayapatnam bridge to see the picturesque view of overflowing Godavari waters. Several pilgrims visiting the Dharmapuri temple made it a point to halt at the bridge.
