Engineer's house burgled

MANGALORE: Unidentified persons reportedly broke into the house of Jaikishan of Mastikatte of Ullal village under Ullal police station limits on August 9 and took away gold jewellery, diamonds and cash worth Rs. 3.90 lakh.

Police said Mr. Jaikishan, a chemical engineer working in Dubai and had come home with his wife on a month long vacation.

The couple had come to their relative's house here last night for a function and stayed back. Police said the couple had recently brought their jewellery and other valuables home from the safe locker of a bank to be used during their stay here.
