Two killed in road accident

BANGALORE: Two persons from Kodigehalli in Bangalore died on the spot when a multi-utility vehicle hit their two-wheeler in the Vijinapura Police Station limits in Bangalore district on Sunday.

The police gave the names of the dead as Ravi (19) and Santosh Kumar (21).

The police said the two had come to Vijinapura to attend a marriage on Saturday and were returning home when the accident occurred.

The occupants of the multi-utility vehicle were also injured as the driver tried hitting the two-wheeler.

The multi-utility vehicle, which had a Mangalore registration, was on its way to Vijinapura, the police said. Vijinapura Police have registered a case and are investigating.
