Man robbed of mobile phones

BANGALORE: An armed gang attacked a businessman and robbed him of a bag containing mobile phones valued at Rs. 2 lakh in J.C. Nagar police station limits on Sunday.

The police said that around 9.30 p.m. Shaukat Pasha, who owns a mobile phone shop at National Market in Gandhinagar, was riding towards his Pillanna Garden house on a motorcycle.

When he reached Bore Bank Road, two men, who came on a two-wheeler, dashed against Pasha's motorcycle. As he fell, the two motorists and their two accomplices attacked him with a knife and snatched a bag containing the mobile phones from him.

On a complaint by Pasha, the J.C. Road police have registered a case.

Robbed

Armed men barged into a software engineer's house in K.R. Puram police station limits on Sunday and robbed him and his friends of a laptop, a mobile phone and a gold ring, all valued at Rs. 50,000.

According to the police, the incident occurred around 9 p.m. at Gaurav Kumar's house in Devasandra. When Gaurav Kumar opened the door on hearing the calling bell, the armed men told him that they were on the lookout for his roommate Shylendra Kumar. They threatened him and his three roommates with knives, before relieving them of the articles.
