Demand for free ration

ALAPPUZHA: Alappuzha MLA K.C. Venugopal has urged the Government to provide financial aid of Rs.2,000 each to the workers of the Alappuzha port who had been rendered jobless following the cessation of activities at the port, prior to Onam festival.

Mr. Venugopal said he had submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister, the Minister for Revenue and the Minister for Ports requesting aid to the workers.
