Man found dead in lawyer's chamber
According to the police, the incident came to light on Wednesday morning when the lawyer came to her chamber to collect some files. Enquiries by the police revealed that Akash's parents were living separately for the past several years. He recently had a quarrel with his parents, after which he started staying at the lawyer's chamber at night after work. Inquest proceedings into the matter have been initiated.
Five alleged criminals arrested
The accused, Rajesh, Raj Kumar, Anil and Raju were arrested by a team led by Inspector Om Prakash. Two of their accomplices, later identified as Sandeep and Vinay, managed to escape. At the instance of the accused, the police arrested one Anand for allegedly receiving stolen property. Efforts are on to nab other gang members.
Milkman injured in accident
According to the police, the accident took place around 9-30 p.m. when the speeding car hit Ramesh, who was on a bicycle. An injured Ramesh was rushed to Indian Spinal Injuries Centre at Vasant Kunj where his condition was stated to be serious. Some passers-by overpowered the minor and called in the police. "We immediately arrested the accused and registered a case against him under provisions pertaining to juvenile crimes," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (South-West Delhi) R.S. Yadav. The accused is a resident of Vasant Kunj.
DTC bus services urged
In a representation to the Minister, the Society, a voluntary agency, said thousands of people go to these places everyday to attend offices with much difficulty due to lack of direct government bus services. The bus terminal constructed at Mayur Vihar-I had been left unused due to lack of bus services from the spot.
